As always it was wonderful to bring in the festive season with Smile Train UK's annual carol concert. A moment to come together and reflect on the life-changing work Smile Train delivers across the world.
I was honoured to share my experience growing up with a cleft here in the UK. To shine a light on the incredible care the NHS provides and the education and support for cleft patients. This treatment enabled me to become cleft proud in my twenties, where I then felt compelled to use my experiences to help others, especially those who need Smile Train's support.
Smile Train's sustainable training model will always inspire me. Not only do they transform the lives of patients, they ensure medical professionals on the ground can continue to provide treatment for years to come.
