Cleft Stories: Hear from Speakers Who Really 'Get It'
This was Smile Train's second virtual cleft conference, bringing together the cleft community to connect, engage and share smiles. This time, I was invited as a guest speaker to share my experience growing up with my cleft.
I shared the difficulties beyond treatment - how my cleft journey progressed from feeling special as a child to struggles with self-esteem as a teenager to ultimately finding self-acceptance after treatment in my early twenties.
